The Bucket List...

Because I am sooooo old now I thought I would start one of those bucket lists of things to do before you do pop your clogs. Let's just hope my effort proves more entertaining than the appalling film of the same name with Jack Nicholson and Morethan Freeman. In fact if there was an opposite to a bucket list, things definitely not to do before you die, I think watching their film would be on it.

But anyway, back to my list (oh and you may see a few common themes emerge....)

• Listen to live jazz in a Manhattan hotel lounge whilst sipping a bourbon.
• Fire live rounds from a .303 Lee Enfield rifle.
• Walk through central park.
• Visit the Menin Gate in Ypres at the daily sunset ceremony.
• Go to Glastonbury.
• Buy a bespoke tailored suit.
• Fly first class long haul.
• Go camping on the shores of a remote lake.
• Have tea at the Ritz.
• Then have drinks at the Savoy.
• Watch every episode of Mad Men.
• Visit the ruins of Pompei.
